About Abu Dhabi Yoga Trainer Leila:

Leila Knight is a specialist Yoga & General Fitness female personal trainer who is based in Abu Dhabi. Originally from South Africa Leila has always had a keen interest in physical activity and the way the body works. In the past Leila has competed in long distance running, swimming events and even the Great Wall of China Marathon. She understands that with dedication you can achieve all of your fitness goals no matter how difficult they might initially seem.

Leila works with Advantage Sports in Abu Dhabi and provides Yoga and Personal Training to a wide variety of clients from those with little Yoga or exercise experience to those who want to advance on to more difficult Yoga Poses.

As a Yoga Instructor for private and group clients Leila likes to base her lessons on learning the basics correctly which includes proper form. In Abu Dhabi she enjoys teaching Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Yin Yoga and more.

As a female personal trainer in Abu Dhabi Leila likes to use TRX, Kettlebells, Bodyweight exercises and HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training).

Leila has over 3 years Yoga training and teaching experience coupled with Reiki training and also personal training for a wide variety of fitness needs. Being interested in all aspects of physical fitness and how fitness can help the body and mind drives Leila to provide the best personal training service to her clients throughout Abu Dhabi.

Leila’s Personal Training Experience:

Leila is an expert in all aspects of Yoga and believes in putting into practise what she knows and continues to learn. Some of the areas she specialises in are:

  • Hatha Yoga– classical style of yoga focusing on poses (asanas) and breathing (pranayama), which has become known in the west as yoga. Typically involves tuning in with breath awareness, setting of intention, physical poses with verbal and physical adjustment/assists to ensure alignment which aids in energetic flow through the body, relaxation and/or meditation to end the class. A gentler practice, good for beginner and intermediate levels.
  • Yin Yoga – slow paced, passive style of yoga, focusing on stretching the deeper connective tissue (fascia, ligaments and tendons) rather than the muscles. Poses are held for between 1 and 10 minutes. Increases circulation in the joints and improves flexibility. Also assists with learning the basics of meditation and learning to let go. Good for athletes and those that need to relax.
  • Vinyasa Flow – stronger, faster style of yoga where each breath is linked to a movement. Poses flow from one to the next, often linked by a half sun salutation. This is more of a workout than other styles of yoga. It is recommended that new yoga students take a few slower paced classes to get a feel for poses before trying a vinyasa class.
  • Yin/Yang Flow – combination of vinyasa flow and yin yoga. Creates a beautifully balanced class.

How Many Personal Training Sessions Will I Need?

Yoga doesn’t really have a timescale when it comes to how many personal training sessions you need. Of course the more you have the better you will become at Yoga.

Can I Train At Home In Abu Dhabi?

As a Yoga trainer and teacher in Abu Dhabi Leila can come to your home for your personal yoga training sessions.

Do I Need My Own Exercise Equipment & Kit At Home?

No – all you need is a Yoga mat, a towel and a bottle of water. If additional Yoga equipment is required this will be provided by Leila on the days of training.

Is It Cheaper To Train With A Group Or Partner?

Yoga PT with Leila can be provided on a private basis or as part of a group. Group yoga training or yoga classes in Abu Dhabi are often a great way to save money.

Can You Provide Diet & Nutrition Advice?

Yes. Diet and nutrition changes are beneficial when practising Yoga and with this in mind Leila can provide diet advice and support.

How Many Times Per Week Should I Train?

It depends on you and your schedule. You should pre-book your Yoga training session though because demand is high.

    I would like to leave a review of my Personnel Trainer Leila. She has been my Personnel Trainer for over a year and 4 months. She is a Great Trainer and Fun her lessons are benefit I have seen a lot of improvement with her I’m getting Fit Thanks to Leila I would recommend her to Anyone whom is interested to Have Leila AS their Personnel Trainer.
